Summer Residencies 2017
16 Nicholson Street happily presents two residencies this summer.
Artist and writer Adam Benmakhlouf will be joining us on the top floor, from June- August as a part of a research residency. During the course of the summer he will host monthly events and happenings as a way of critically examining and understanding his own practice. These events will be open for the public and will take the form of both group discussions and open studio days. Working title for Adam's residency and over all research for his time at 16 Nicholson Street is "Intimate Resort".
On the two bottom floors of the gallery Matthew Walkerdine will be curating a series of reading alongside a large group exhibition with works on paper. Matthews residency will be a curatorial one, and will result in a group exhibition during July. Please join us for the preview Friday the 14th of July. 6 pm.
