Kate V Robertson (b. Edinburgh, 1980) lives and works in Glasgow. She completed her MFA in 2009, with distinction, from the Glasgow School of Art. Kate has exhibited regularly in Glasgow and has also shown work in New York, Berlin, and elsewhere in Scotland, including a solo exhibition at Dundee Contemporary Art in 2017. Kate makes work across all media, often working site-specifically, in different galleries, offsite spaces and public contexts. In 2014 she presented a temporary outdoor piece as part of the Glasgow XX Commonwealth Games and recently completed her first permanent work, integrated into the new architecture on Clyde Place in Glasgow City Centre. Kate also is involved in research, as founding director of Sculpture Placement Group. Kate started making collage in 2018, and usually uses newspapers, cutting out the registration marks and arranging in patterns. She then also made works with the offcuts. Kate is represented by Patricia Fleming Gallery.
