Claire Barclay works predominantly with sculpture and print practices and is recognized for her large-scale installations informed by the contexts in which they temporarily exist. For example, ‘Thrum’, produced for MAC Belfast 2020 and ‘Yield Point’, made in response to Tramway, Glasgow 2017. Recent projects include, ‘Human Threads’ with Artlink Edinburgh, ‘Tenuity’ for Stephen Friedman Gallery, London and ‘Printmaker in Residence’ at Edinburgh College of Art 2018-9. Notable exhibitions include ‘Low Scenic’, 2003 Venice Biennale, ‘Openwide’, Fruitmarket Gallery, Edinburgh 2009, Shadow Spans&;, Whitechapel Art Gallery, London 2010, ‘Pale Heights’, Mudam, Luxembourg 2009, and 'Fault on the right side', 2007, Kunstverein Braunschweig.
