Catherine Street works in collage, writing, video, sound, installation and performance. A collage approach runs throughout all aspects of her practice. Street’s work is about the relationship of concepts to bodies: how do ideas formed of language intertwine with the flesh of human beings? Selected collage exhibitions include Sierra Metro Gallery in Edinburgh and Cindy Rucker Gallery New York. Other projects include a collaboration with Alex Hetherington for CCA Glasgow, a group exhibition at Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, a film commission from LUX Scotland and a performance for the Edinburgh Futures Institute.
